Here is a collection of my favorite resources around Kansas City and nationwide!
LIMOS RESTAURANTS PHOTOGRAPHERS WEDDING PLANNERS RECEPTION SITES OTHER KC SIGHTS
PartyInKC - Check out an expanded list of current entertainment and events in Kansas City 2008-2009!
Limos.com - We are deeply indebted to limos.com as it has been one of our best sources of new clients on the internet. Even though I'm probably not doing myself a favor, I recommend the ease with which clients can compare pricing on different area limousine companies, as well as see pictures, uncensored reviews, and even look up insurance information before making a monetarily significant purchasing decision.
Executive Limousines - Extremely reliable, consistent service mostly in the corporate arena, has minibuses and one limo-bus, aside from the standard Towncars, 10-passenger stretches, and 15-passenger vans. Our favorite company to get help with airport service.
Overland Plaza Limousine - A model limousine company, one of the oldest in the livery arena of Kansas City, also the largest Kansas livery business.
Agenda Kansas City - The best people in the Kansas City area what destination management especially for large corporate groups is concerned. They also have the best rates on minibuses.
Kool Nites Limousine - Greg at Kool Nites is in charge of the largest fleet of trolleys, buses and stretch SUV's in the Kansas City area.
Arrow Stage Lines - When passenger numbers exceed 20, a coach is sometimes a very price-effective alternative.
1-800 Book-A-Limo - Nick and his team are working hard to ensure timely pick-ups around the globe! With an easy-to-remember number and true 24-hour service, nothing can go wrong! We've been happy to exclusively service Book-A-Limo clients in the KC area for 4 years now.
La Bodega - My favorite Spanish restaurant in town. It can be both romantic and hip at the same time. Be sure to order their Spanish coffee as a desert, it's your own little fireworks show at your table (as they light Bacardi 151 and sprinkle cinnamon into the flame before adding the coffee).
Skies - I didn't want to skip it because even though I would not eat there, I love going up for cocktails and desert. The Sky-high Pie is the largest chunk of ice cream that you can order in a restaurant, and there is nothing like watching a thunderstorm and being in the middle of the clouds as the restaurant revolves atop the Hyatt Crown Center.
M & S Grill - My absolutely favorite happy hour in all of KC, but pssst, don't tell anyone as they run out of room at the bar fast. The food is great as the restaurant is managed by the same people as McCormick & Schmick's, which is the name for good seafood in town.
Bluebird Bistro - The best and hippest organic restaurant in town, Bluebird has been around for a while and has never been more popular. It tends to fill up quickly for Sunday brunch or holidays like Mother's Day. If you're coming through on a Wednesday to Saturday before 1pm, stop next door at Fervere to get the best bread in town.
Thai Place - There is a reason why there is already a 5th Thai Place restaurant under construction in the Kansas City area: the place is good!
Saigon 39 - If you need to eat something really delicious and healthy and do so quickly, Mimi's creation (now owned and managed by her children) has been a wonderful stop for good food.
Isaac Alongi Studios - Simply the best in KC, and has the prices to go with the reputation. Isaac has such a great personality, talent and a quick eye, producing some of the most artistic shots I've seen. If you have the budget, there's only one choice...
Van Deusen Photography - With 250 weddings per year, Paul McMillian and his master photographers are absolute professionals. He has flexible pricing and responds to individual needs with a diversity of different photographic styles.
Flashes Photography - I love Teri for her lively personality. Quite a few of my favorite photographs were done by her.
Josie Kern - Having the Art-Institute education and a background in professional modelling photography, Josie is very skilled at superior wedding photography with the artistic edge.
David McKinney - wedding services tailored to meet your needs and expectations, especially in the Lawrence area.
Banfii Photography - Roland and his wife Christine have an extremely high commitment to customer service. We have been working alongside them for at least three years, even at their own wedding...
Black Dog Imageworks - Another expert in the arena of photojournalism. Doug and his fellow master photographers are every bit as artistic as Isaac, and definitely a good choice if you want some "real" shots instead of the typical painstakingly posed pictures. Doug, just like Isaac and Roland, also chose us for his wedding-day transportation from the church.
A Bride's Best Friend - Full service wedding consulting, planning and coordinating. If you're tying the knot, let A Bride's Best Friend handle the loose ends.
White Lily Weddings - Missie has been working with us for a number of years. She also currently takes care of wedding arrangements for the Madrid Theatre, a beautiful reception facility.
Above & Beyond Weddings - Bette Kindler took over from Audry Wise and is continuing a tradition of excellence and dedication to the bride.
Event Studio - Mandy Phalen's experience and many connections among the wedding professionals allow her to bring a unique touch to every wedding she plans.
You're Invited - Kim has incorporated our Bentleys into many of her weddings.
Bliss Plaza - Becky has done an excellent job sending only very happy wedding couples home or to a hotel at the end of the night - we know!
JF Productions - Jeremiah would be our first choice for DJ/entertainment solutions for weddings and other occasions.
Kairos Moment Wedding Films - I honestly don't know too much about video, but Kairos is the most established and highly acclaimed in the area.
Country Club Plaza - Kansas City's one attraction where historical architecture, national significance (the first suburban outdoor shopping mall in the US when it was built in 1922 - 1928), some of the best shopping, restaurants and nightclubs all come together into one nice place that's easily explored by foot, carriage or limo...
Union Station - Once the third-largest Railroad Station in the US, the 1914 landmark houses two excellent restaurants, an Imax theatre, a Science Museum and a constantly changing public exhibition. Beautifully restored to its former glory.
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - has one of the finest art collections in the United States, according to Wikipedia. With a newly built addition that almost doubles exhibition space in June 2007, the museum is a must-see for KC visitors.
Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art - great space, admission always free, with a trendy restaurant perfect for a light lunch.
Sprint Center - is Kansas City's newest and coolest event venues, having drawn all the best shows on a national tour schedule.
Power & Light District - newly opened in 2007, the new entertainment area boasts a large concentration of restaurants, bars and clubs, all within an easily walkable area of about 8 square blocks right next to Sprint Center. The nucleus of the P & L District is a courtyard with a roof protecting from rain and snow, with a giant screen that usually shows current sports events, and seating areas that allow visitors to enjoy drinks without having to pay for access to a club, or having to contend with a crowded bar.
Worlds of Fun / Oceans of Fun - starting with the weekends in April, endless fun and lots of sensational thrill rides...
